The distribution of breeding birds in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg
DOI:

Aim of the study
a) To record the current distribution of our breeding birds in order to publish distribution maps for as many species as possible in ‘Avifauna’.
b) To identify areas where sightings are rare in order to launch search expeditions there in 1972, 1973 and later: white squares = apparent gaps in distribution!
Timetable
Start as early as the 1971 breeding season; initially only for three breeding periods, then to monitor individual species or individual areas in a targeted manner!
Scope
Record and report all breeding bird species in 1971. From 1972 onwards, a selection will be made for which this recording method is particularly suitable.
