Peer review process

A double-blind peer review of all submitted manuscripts serves to maintain the journal’s high quality standards. Thus submissions are reviewed first by the Editors and then by at least two experts in the field, who are not part of the journal’s editorial staff but are specialists on either the region or the subject matter dealt with in the manuscript. The reviewers may at their own discretion opt to reveal their names to the author in their review, but it is standard editorial practice for both identities to remain concealed.

Manuscripts which have been submitted or published elsewhere wholly or in large part cannot be considered. Before submitting a manuscript to Paideuma, would-be contributors are advised to consult the Editors’ Information for authors.

After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, provisional page proofs are sent to the author for correction. They should be returned within seven days.
